A metaphor to express my feelings on our current situation:

•The US is a person with a gunshot wound. The wound is bleeding profusely (the bullet is covid, the blood represents infected/dying people). There’s a lot of blood, the person is probably going to bleed to death at the current rate.

•The doctor has a tourniquet (the vaccine) and could stop the bleeding enough (70-90%, the vaccination rate for herd immunity) to get the patient into surgery and this could all be over. Sadly however, that tourniquet is being held hostage (by the people who are refusing the vaccine).

•Instead the doctor has to do something so she places a bandaid on the gunshot wound (requiring masks for vaccinated people). It seems like the best solution the doctor has, as the bandaid does stop some blood, and she’s really in a bind, but the patient is still bleeding out (covid rates are spiking, hospitals are at capacity again).

•Another factor worth considering is that the bandaid is a bit of a burden to the patient. At first it’s just itchy but then it becomes painful as it causes irritation to the wound. (for me personally that looks like needing masks inside again, but it also looks like limits on my experience in music school because you can’t play an instrument with a mask on, and the fear of it snowballing back to where we were last year, loosing things like in person school, my job, and social activities all over again.)

•Moral of the story- please get vaccinated and don’t take away the things that are important to all of us again. The doctor has to do something, just give him the dang tourniquet and let him stitch us up. It’s safe it’s free it’s convenient. I beg you.

supersenior steve has a crush on head cheerleader chrissy but has no game. became friends with bandgeek robin over the summer at scoops but because of no upside down she doesn't tell him she's a lesbian. she helps him write loveletters to her and he passes them off as his own because he wants to impress her

robin who's always thought she was beautiful and sweet starts hanging out with her after basketball games while she's waiting for her stupid boyfriend to finish walking around all cocky after winning.

my poor girl chrissy has a lot going on and hangs out with eddie a bunch after school and he talks with her a lot about the love letters, though he's secretly kind of suspicious that he's not writing them, because, and he can't tell her this, but he's been in love with the guy for years and he was never a big writer. especially not after all those concussions

as a result he spends more time with steve and chrissy's spending more time with robin and they both sort of let themselves forget who exactly they're supposed to be interested in

debbie has a leader like person, but is too shy to fully express it, so she comes off as aloof. most of her friends are on the cheerteam, and cares about them dearly. especially blaire and flamethrower.

Blairecrash (Blaire x Fred)

The two met through tutoring. Blaire was failing history. Fred wanted to make some extra money.

Eventually some of the side talk turned into actual conversation, befriending each other.

Fred caught feelings first. Blaire was completely oblivious to this.

The two actually got together through a drunken confession. Fred picked up Blaire after she went to a bad party and was too intoxicated to drive.

He even carried her to the front door. Until she confessed. Then Fred dropped her in the grass out of shock.

Fred will make fun of his girlfriend for being “short” even though it’s only by a couple inches.

In reverse, Blaire will make fun of Fred for being less athletic than her.

Fred is teaching Blaire how to draw.

Blaire spoils Fred. A lot. Many of their dates are just shopping sprees.

Fred sucks at dancing. During homecoming, he was completely embarrassing. Blaire would roll her eyes and keep going anyway.

Would 100% fit that “He asked for no pickles!” meme.

Blaire has an entire crying fit whenever the dog dies in movies. No matter how many times Fred has to explain it’s just fiction, she’ll cry even harder.

Blaire’s favorite thing ever is My Little Pony. Any and all generations (Except the 5th one, ew). She keeps this a complete secret. No one knows except for Fred (who probably found out by opening one of her closets and seeing 300 toys)

She feels welcome to talk about My Little Pony, and even wake up early to watch reruns or play with some of the toys.

Fred doesn’t judge her for it. Finds it a bit weird, but loves her enough to go along with it.

Angst

Tanner McCroy is an abusive ex boyfriend of Blaire’s.

She was sextorted by him for a year or so. Blaire essentially did anything he wanted.

After Tanner got “bored” of her, they broke up and she was finally able to find someone else.

When Fred realized what happened, it made him angry. A type of angry that he’d never felt up until that day.

So angry that he got into his first school fight for it, punching Tanner square in the jaw.

The effects of Tanner never fully went away. Blaire developed PTSD from the events.

Fred wanted to do something, but beating up Tanner over and over again wasn’t going to fix the bottom line.

The only thing he could really do was be there to support her. No matter what.

Flamebomb (Flamethrower x Valeri)

less bc i don’t know val like that and i don’t want to get it wrong 😭

Val is a night owl and Flame is an early bird (Due to his practices being so early in the morning). This causes the following to happen:

On Friday nights, Flame will tend to fall asleep doing anything extraneous/ comfy past 1am. This tends to happen during cuddling. Val finds that adorable.

Speaking of cuddling, sometimes Flame plain sleeps on top of his girlfriend. On accident. Not in a cute cuddly way, but taking up half the bed type of way. Val refuses to move, making productive things more difficult. For example her trying to type on her phone would produce gibberish.

They go on mini crime sprees as dates sometimes. The occasional fire starts.

Like Blairecrash, they sometimes also wake up early to watch Saturday Morning Cartoons and rather cereal in bed, albeit different ones.

Angst

Tanner was also an ex of Val. The situation didn’t get as far as Blaire’s, but Val was SA’d.

Flame feels similar about Tanner as Fred does.

When Flamethrower witnessed Valeri’s bulimia first hand, his heart dropped into his stomach.

He tried to stay calm when confronting her about it, staying completely passive and not blaming her for anything. After a couple minutes of her being out of view he completely shut down.

Flame wished she didn’t have to suffer like that. That he could just snap his fingers and make her healthy again. That she’d just be okay. But things didn’t work like that. Things were much more complicated.

Bonus - Double Date HCs

These mostly get planned by Fred and Flame since they’re closer.

Despite being somewhat the opposite of each other, Blaire and Val get along very well.

Their first double date was to a laser tag game.

Everyone got really competitive.

For extra competition, Fred and Flame were on one team, and Blaire and Val were on another.

Fred is actually really good at laser tag, causing Blaire to get targeted and shot multiple times. Because of that, Blaire “swore revenge” on him.

That essentially just means stealing the food off his plate later on.

^ Val actual ended up doing this to Flame. He got flustered and this was all he could think about for the rest of the day.

After, they went to go pick up something to eat.

It took a million years for them to figure something out since no one was craving anything but was also picky of where they wanted to eat.

They ended up choosing a fast food joint. (Taiga Country’s In & Out equivalent)

Blaire ate half of Fred’s fries.

Unrelated to this, I’d like to think they went on another date where Val blew something up. She would go:

“Whoopsies! Well, anyways….”

And then Blaire would stare at the fire like this

The two usually do grocery shopping together. 90% of the time, Novah wants to buy something useless yet simultaneously interesting, causing her to show it to Percy. Percy obviously advices her not to buy it because she’d probably never use it (which is true), and they bicker back and forth.

On dates their personal favorite is exploring the city and finding things to do on the way. It gives them ways to burn out energy and more activities to enjoy.

With this, they went to an arcade once, Novah has beaten Percy at air hockey multiple times.

With the grocery shopping, this has happened before (yk exactly whos on what side) i was the puppy.

Yvi Donaldson (EE OC)

Yvette “Yvi” Donaldson is the older stepsister of Fred Donaldson, being 20 years old and living in Sweet Jazz City for an internship. Her epithet is Felidae, allowing her to transform into any feline animal discovered, extinct or otherwise. She usually prefers to transform into a house cat though, so she can stroll around town and get free food.

She currently works at STEM as an intern in the technology department.

She is Giovanni’s ex from high school. They dated for about a year and are still on good terms, even to where she’ll help him with crime in her free time.

She has a very cold personality, to the point where Giovanni’s minion name for her is “Ice Queen”. She isn’t mean, but everything she says comes out as monotone, even if that wasn’t the intention.

^ With that, she still feels emotions, they’re just difficult to show.

Her epithet has also made her inherit cat like traits. Even tastes. She ate a mouse once.

She currently has a joyfriend.

Fun when calling, but the driest texter in the history of the EE universe.

Epithet Erased - Idol! AU

Something I’m making because, as it turns out, I’m a very slow artist but a fast writer.

This is mostly just an idea dump post. The details are really messy, so I apologize.

The main gist is just the Neo trio and Lorelai but as idols. You can learn more under the cut.

I’m not committed to this AU. Nothing is set in stone. Feel free to ask questions, but this is mostly just to get my ideas out there, I am not promising anything big will come from this (Like a fanfiction or comic).

“Neapolitan♡Melody”

Neapolitan♡Melody, or NeoMelody for short, is the idol group containing Molly Blyndeff, Trixie Roughouse, and Phoenica Fleecity.

Even though Molly is still the MC of this AU, Phoenica is considered to be the leader of the group in the media in-universe. Their music mostly kids-bop like, but genuinely palatable.

The three debuted a couple days before the start of the museum arc.

Due to Molly’s misophonia, the trio decided that they would only do indoor recordings and virtual shows in order to minimize the amount of noise she had to hear.

“LORELAI”

LORELAI or Lorelai Blyndeff is a solo idol who debuted when she was 15 years old.

She mostly makes music based on whatever her primary obsession is at the time. Which with how quickly she moves on from topic to topic, and how long it takes to release an album, she gets bored very quickly. This eventually gets to where she primarily releases singles focusing around whatever she’s into.

Something to mention is that Lorelai still goes into her bubbles and ignores her responsibilities. She’s constantly late to almost everything and does almost none of her share, except when it’s in the public eye.

Both NeoMelody and LORELAI are primarily vocals performed by their respective idols, with synthesizers being done after the fact.

Plot

Calliope Blyndeff was a former idol in the 90s, and a really popular one at that. She eventually retired in the early 2000’s, and primarily leaving the scene once she became a mother.

Molly and Lorelai mostly became idols because of their mother, beginning training at a very young age.

Even though Martin is both of their managers in name, he rarely ever does his job, only really being in interviews. Molly primarily is forced to take over almost all of the manager duties, causing her to be tired on a constant basis. It’s even gotten to where she’d faint during recordings.

(Naven helps to homeschool the three girls instead of running a speech class)

During the Museum Arc, it’s around the time of NeoMelody’s first debut. With such a major accomplishment, Molly not only wants to celebrate with her friends, but get some alone time. She eventually ends up in the museum.

The museum arc then goes similarly, with only Giovanni recognizing her as an idol, since Trixie is related to him.

For Prison of Plastic, it has a similar structure to the canon. The trio finding Rick, Lorelai kidnapping Giovanni, etc. But the ending is different (I’m not 100% sure what it would be atp).

(I also want to put Sylvie into the PoP arc more, but I’m not sure how.)

Monica Sinclair

a second ee oc! (this art is kinda shit, but i don’t have the time to redraw it and i’ve had this sitting for a week. this is her for now)

her epithet is “headline”. such an epithet allows her to bring anyone’s attention to almost anything.

Monica Sinclair is a senior at Sweet jazz High school. She was one of Bugsy and Arnold’s banzai blasters that went to Redwood Run.

At her school, she’s the head cheerleader, with 10 other cheerleaders.

Monica is Blaire Katchadorian (another OC of mine)’s best friend / partner in crime. She’s also friends with three of Bugsy and Arnold’s banzai blasters: Jenny, Jen and Niffer, who are also cheerleaders.

(since the wiki doesn’t have the confirmed ages of any of the Banzai Blasters, I hc almost all of them 17 and in also in their senior year.)

Monica is efficient and confident, probably one of her main redeeming qualities. When you need to get a serious job done, you go to her. She also is very charismatic, finding a way to get along with almost anyone and everyone. Her biggest flaws is her stubbornness, unreliability, and, for a lack of better words, constantly being an asshole. If she isn’t able to get her way with someone, she’s automatically rude to them.

With ”Headline”, Monica’s main move is “Paparazzi”, giving anyone she’d like in a two foot radius under a spell-like trance. The trance will have the victim completely infatuated with her until her stamina runs low, which can be up to 2 hours if she doesn’t rest.

1- What's her Music taste?

Mainstream rap (90s - Now) and alternative pop (Basically the in-universe equivalents to Lana Del Ray and Florence and The Machine).

2- Is she only scared of Bonnie because shes a juvie convict? Or is she scared of all convicts in general?

Yes and no. She’s afraid of Bonnie because she could be a threat, her being an ex-convict is the main part of her reasoning, though. She knows that people go to jail for many different reasons, even if they aren’t violent, it’s just that Bonnie is a mix of both which makes her worried.

3- Do you think that the cheerleaders, and Color Guard would have sleepovers after the performances/games? And if so, would the two be separate? Or would both teams be together?

Yes. Note that I plan on showing other OCs that are cheerleaders later (I’m working on Monica, the head cheerleader, but I draw slow as hell so I’ll probably be done days from now), and I feel like they would have sleepovers. I can’t speak too well for the color guard, since they’re not my OCs, but I think they would too.

I don’t know if they’d mix sleepovers, but it would honestly be funny if they did. Like going from bickering over a practice field on Friday to watching a movie and eating ice cream the immediate day after.

4- Favorite animal and food?

Unicorns and vanilla ice cream. Unicorns because she’s an avid MLP (or equivalent) fan. She keeps that a secret though because it would be “lame to like a kids show”. She likes vanilla ice cream because it’s sweet but simple.

5- Is she scared of cops? Like she knows she's a banzai blaster, so when she sees a cop or Percy (or even someone related to Percy *cough* Parker *cough*) does she get anxious like Carcrash does?

If this AU takes place before the redwood run arc, then no. If it takes place after, then only Percy. She also wouldn’t be afraid around Parker after finding out who her relatives are, but just makes sure not to do anything illegal around her.

6- Any info on Blaries family? Any siblings? Is she close to anyone in particular?

She’s an only child with two parents named Isabella and Daniel who are (un)happily married. Blaire isn’t that close with either of them, with Isabella being a borderline neglectful wine mother who cares about business more than her kid, and Daniel being an enabler.
